Rapid 3D Printing

The most common method for rapid prototyping is 3D printing. This tooling-free process is cost-effective and offers a fast lead time. At RapidDirect, we utilize various 3D printing methods, including fused deposition modeling (FDM), selective laser sintering (SLS), and stereolithography (SLA), to ensure your prototype achieves high precision and the best finish.

Rapid Vacuum Casting

We also offer rapid vacuum casting for producing low-cost plastic parts. Similar to injection molding, this method is suitable for low-volume production, although the tooling used is not very durable.

What is rapid prototyping?

A rapid prototype (RP) is a physical part that reflects the design intention, typically created based on a CAD drawing to assess the appearance or structural rationality. What is the purpose of prototypes or why use prototypes?

3D Metal printing

  • 3D Metal printing, also known as Direct Metal Laser Sintering (DMLS), utilizes high-temperature nozzles to melt metal powder materials into three-dimensional shapes according to CAD drawings. It’s ideal for producing complex-shaped products that may be too challenging or costly to manufacture using CNC machining.

Aluminum rapid mold or mild steel rapid mold

We utilize CNC, EDM, high-speed EDM, and other equipment to fabricate molds from metal and hard materials like aluminum or low-carbon steel. These molds have a long lifespan, lasting over 10,000 times.

For product materials, we work with ABS, PC, PP, POM, PMMA, and other plastic materials.
